What is Acne?

Due to several physical conditions like puberty and pregnancy these glands are triggered to produce more oil than what can be easily cleared by the pores. This results in formation of pimple and later turn into acne.

Types of Acne

Acne can be classified into two main categories; Mild Acne and severe acne

Whiteheads: It appears in the form of white spots on the skin. Usually when dead cells and oil are trapped at the blocked pores, we notice the appearance of white spots. These are quite temporary and heal themselves. white heads can be popped with special care but do not try unless you are sure to do it correctly.

Black heads: When pores are not blocked completely and allow some of the sebum to spill onto the outer surface of skin, it results in formation of black heads. Skins pigments react with oxygen and turn them black in color, hence the name.

Papules: these are inflamed version of either of the above conditions. Usually red in color papules need some treatment.

Nodules: this is a severe condition with some hard lump under the skin .It is usually painful and leaves a scar even after treatment.

Cysts: they are larger than nodule and are usually filled with pus instead of hard lump. A severe form of acne that needs immediate attention.

While there are various other Types Of Acne depending upon their severity, we’ll focus on those which are the most common and are treatable by natural methods.

Treating Acne

Though various treatments of acne are popular, one should try to go for the treatment that is based on natural herbs. Natural treatments, apart from being cheap are also more reliable as far as recurrence of acne in concerned.
